Today's Special

Chocolate. Bacon. Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Sean, Kenna, and I walked down to Marczyk's this afternoon to pick up milk, heavy cream, fresh mozzarella, coffee beans, salami, applewood smoked bacon, lemon poppy seed scone mix... and these cookies.

I had no intention of buying these cookies - the owner talked me into it. (As if it took much convincing?) These will be a staple in every picnic basket I pack for the rest of my life.

Valrhona 70% Chocolate, Niman Ranch Bacon, Plugra Butter, NOCO Eggs, AP Flour, Madagascar Vanilla, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Baking Soda, Salt.

Wait. I'm sorry. Is the second ingredient in these cookies bacon? That is brilliant.

A message from Lia (pointing and drooling):

"Cookie, cookie, cookie, cookie.."

Lala - that is sort of the exact same reaction I had in the store. I'm glad you got the cookie gene!

Julie,
Your photography amazes me! What kind of camera and lense are you using? You really are quite artistic and I WANT A COOKIE! Aunt KIM

Thanks Kim!!

I honestly know nothing about photography or cameras. I simply shoot what I think looks interesting.

The camera that I am currently using for my blog photos is just a very plain, simple point & shoot digital camera. Specifically a "FUJIFILM FINEPIX F45 fd". The lens is just what is on the camera: Fujinon Zoom Lens 3x f=8-24mm 1:2.8-5.1. This is just a very basic digital camera - nothing fancy. Something small I can shove in my pocket.

Some of my photos are shot with my cell phone...

My love however is my Nikon N65 35mm camera. I love this camera, but am at times wooed away from it because it is not digital. (And I want to see results now now now! haha) I hope to someday have a really nice digital camera... but I will never fully leave actual film behind - something just nice about it.

Don't laugh - but I just called them and the baker MAY email me his recipe. I can't stop drooling. It's either I get on a plane or he sends me the recipe.

And I am now just noticing that the "word verification" I am being asked to type below this comment is "hainess". I know that's not the spelling of the word, but still ...
